Have you ever been on holiday to those hot places around the Mediterranean and jumped into the local taxi which most times don't have air conditioning? By all accounts the a/c units in those cars are so expensive to run 9 times out of 10 you will see the drivers sitting on beaded seats to keep cool, it makes perfect sense when you are in 25 degrees plus for 12 hours and longer!!
We looked at these professional drivers and noted two very important factors, firstly ventilation and secondly an increase in blood flow. The beads allow air to be circulated even in the confines of a taxi so think what it will be like when they are placed on a motorbike seat, without any doubt they will keep you cool and decrease perspiration even in the hottest places.
Sitting or indeed riding for hours and hours causes blood flow to decrease, this can cause pain and the age old problem of a NUMB BUM, the beads stimulate blood flow and reduce pressure under your backside so you remain more comfortable, suffer less pain and enjoy the ride rather than thinking "I can't wait to get off!"
Although we think our beaded seat pads are better for those long rides during the summer months many of our customers have said they are great when riding in the wet weather because they are raised off the saddle very slightly and the rain simply flows away underneath. Sizing Instructions
There are two sizes available; the large seat is most suitable for a standard seat, the second for a pillion or small sports seat. Ensure you compare the measurements given below against your seat to establish the beads do not come into contact with your paintwork, just the upholstery.
Fitting Instructions
Remove your saddle or motorcycle seat and place the Beaded Seat on top with the straps underneath your seat, pinch the cord lock together and pull the strap until it fits against the seat, please do not over tighten and please make sure your Seat Pad is not in contact with your motorcycle paint work.
Caution
Please do not let the beads come into direct contact with any surface that could become damaged or remove paint work, your Beaded Seat has been designed so as to fit your buttocks and support your body whilst it is placed on top of your normal motorcycle upholstery.
Please also be aware the beads will feel a little slippery so until you have become used to this new sitting position care is needed especially when cornering.
