FOR REFERENCE :

Inflatable Air cushions are considered high risk, are great for straight roads, long-distance travelling but are prone to puncture (they can get snagged on buckles, studs etc) and aren’t as long-wearing as a gel.

Gel cushions are considered medium risk, are great for winding roads, are long-life, require no maintenance & good for travelling shorter distances but hold the heat so aren’t fabulous in hot weather.

Air mesh cushions are considered low risk, good for a simple numb bum or medical issues (coccyx sensitivity/cancer etc), great in the rain and heat. The maximum weight is 16 Stone / 102 kilos.

Size is also important if you have any additional problems with your legs or back (go bigger!).

Last note of warning, not all gels are equal. Since our success we have seen a great many “gels” come on the market, lots that cannot hold the body weight, lots that aren’t anti-fungal, antibacterial or fire retardant so if you opt for a gel – choose wisely.

    I first bought a DanMedica foam seat in 2016 to dampen out the vibration on 250cc single, which was spoiling the ride....problem solved. I then invested in another larger seat pad 2019 for my Royal Enfield 650 because the seat was on the rock hard side of "firm'.....comfort restored and 5,000 miles of rural touring still a great addition to the bike. I now have a RE GT Continental 650 and once again DanMedica are supplying another pad this time a 'medium' as it is to fit a single seat sport style bike....I'm sure the quality and performance of this produce will be as excellent as the previous 2....I now will have the full set of Xlarge, Large and Medium....all for different seats but all uniformly practical for easing my ageing bones (Phil Lowe 72yrs)

    Excellent service, ordered a medium Treat2 lite on a Wednesday afternoon arrived lunch time the next day. Fitted perfect on the bike, feels comfortable sat on it in the garage, but need to try it on a long run. Sure it will be great.

    Customer service 10/10 Ordered a treatlite L but felt it was too small so returned and ordered the XL version which arrived promptly the next day. Tried it on my s1000xr and it has transformed the comfort and ride quality. Touring spain in april so will write an update after the trip. There are many options available for motorcycle seats including gel and air cushions. I recommend the treatlite pads because they add minimum ride height, very light weight and maintenance free. Now the Mrs wants one!

    Brilliant service ordered my Treatlite 2L yesterday afternoon and it arrived today before lunch. I've only tried it on my Street Triple while its stationary but it feels good so far. I'll do an up date after my tour to Ireland.
